Glass moves! It is alive. Its heat is a radiant soul. In the studio, my malevolent dance partner, and in the gallery, my benign wise old friend. When it stops, it's a snap shot of my life, frozen for longevity.
Wahooly is a decade of evolution in hot glasswork. If Dale Chihuly, David Gilhooly, Henri Matisse, and David Hockney went for a hike in the woods, Wahooly would be a little boy, bouncing along behind.
Inspired by the spectacular textures and patterns of Chihuly glass, the wit and whimsy of Gilhooly ceramics, the precision of a Matisse papercut, and the luminous colour of Hockney paintings, Wahooly is an invitation to enchantment.
